Actually, I'm using an SGI 1600SW LCD with my Radeon VE right now, all
digital. I never had to change a thing when I switched from VGA to DVI,
XFree just picked the correct resolution automagically.
I'm running XFree86 4.1 from RedHat 7.2.
DVI-I can handle analog and digital, so there must be some sort of
handshake to determine which mode to use. Perhaps there is a setting
that can be changed on your monitor?
