I have a Jaton 3DForce G-16 card in my pc that now mostly works with using the
latest version of Xfree86 4.1.99.2 out of the cvs.

The box says it's based on a "Trident Blade T16" and it's supposed to have 16
meg of ram.

The first few problems I'm having (minor):

1. It's recognized as a CyberBladeXPm/8 chip.
   (I don't know if this really matters)

2. It finds VideoRAM: 8192 kByte.
   (I assume I can force it to 16 meg with VideoRam 16384)

3. It says TFT Panel 1280x1024 found.
   (this is an AGP card in a desktop.  There is no LCD display connected to it)
   (if this is because the chipset also has a place to connect an LCD that is
    not used in this case, then it probably doesn't matter)

Despite these minor problems, it works fine on the monitor I was testing it
with (which I will be giving my parent for Christmas).

When I try to use it on my monitor (an old fixed-frequency Sun monitor) I'm
having another problem:

4. The 'Flags "-HSync" "+VSync"' in the modeline doesn't seem to work.

I'm using an external circuit that XOR's the horizontal and vertical sync
together because the monitor has one sync input (separate from green).

This used to work fine with a card based on an older trident chipset using
XFree86 3.3.  I also tried putting a similar card in this machine using XFree86
4.1 and it didn't work.  So I'm wondering if support for Hsync and Vsync were
removed from 4.1, and if so if it's going to be added, and/or if this newer
chipset doesn't support this feature or am I just doing something wrong.

The modeline I am trying is:

I guess if I needed to I could either invert one of the syncs in external

PS Note about the web page and documentation for the CVS:
 I downloaded on the wrong version out of the CVS the first time because I saw a
 note on the main web page (http://www.xfree86.org) saying:
 "Post-release fixes and future 4.1.x update releases will be found on the
 branch called xf-4_1-branch."
 So I downloaded the "xf-4_1-branch" and noticed it didn't have the latest
 trident changes.  Then I downloaded the default and it worked.  I guess the
 CVS page is correct, but it's confusing with the note on the main page.
