OK, here is the solution : after launching X, press the "Fn" and "F7" keys at the same time. The Thinkpad display goes black, then comes back with the good fonts. The only problem is that the 640x480 256 colors doesn't use all the 11"4 DSTN screen, but only around 70%. Anyone knows how to force it to be display-"full screen" ?
