It is not working because 8500 does not initialize overlay linear
transform registers (i.e. stuff that changes brightness/contrast/hue of
overlay) during boot. http://gatos.sf.net/ has proper code in CVS (along
with controls for brightness/hue/color which were screwed up for Radeon
before).
