Hello Mailing-List,

i'm working as a developer of an embedded linux system in a small company. We
are going to release a medical device with Linux/GNU as the OS and a GUI that
is currently developed by ourselves.

We would like to use the TinyX framebuffer X-Server for our device beause its
much smaller than the framebuffer X-Server, needs no config-files, etc.
Perhaps the problem i'm facing may seem to be trivial to you, but I need
advice how to sucessfully compile this X-Server.

For cross-compiling i'm using a complete toolchain included in an Embedded
Linux Distribution named ELINOS (perhaps s.b. heard about before - comes from
Germany). So compiling the TinyX framebuffer server for the embedded system
is no problem, but always the LIBC of my system is used and not the one which
will be installed on the embedded system. On my workstation is v. 2.2.4 and on
the embedded system will be 2.1.3. Where to point the makefiles of Xfree to to
use the glibc of the embedded system??
I've already read dozens of configuration files, comments, etc. found two
sentences about changing the used glibc version in some file - but i don't
know how...

So i would greatly appreciate any help concerning this topic.

Thanks,
Timo
