I'm using a Toshiba Tecra 8200 (CyberBlade 9910) and a corresponding Toshiba docking station. Using Xfree 4.2 (Trident-driver), I observe the following problems: a) attaching a beamer to the laptop the display screws up: While the left part of the display seems ok, the right part consists of three identical stripes containing parts of the left hand side. LCD-panel and beamer show the same picture. You can also produce the same effect without any beamer just by pressing Fn F5. This is independent of the screen size (1268x1024 or 1024x768) b) starting X, the toshiba driver "detects" an 1284x1024 panel which is in real 1400x1050! From reading previous mails I conclude that this is an issue for further releases. c) Using the docking station any resolution greater than 1024x768 results in sparkles on the CRT-display.
