To whom it may concern: I have been messing around with something called minix-vmd. This is simply minix 1.7.0 using XF86-3.1.1. Upon installing and configuring this system (to the best of my ability) I found that I didn't have a startx script on my system. Rather discouraged I attempted to figure out why only to find I didn't have X in my /usr/bin/X11!!! I tried to creat a X file hoping that its only purpose was a link to the X server but this has not delivered any luck since xf86config says that permission is denied when it tries to access it for the -probeonly configuration. Does anyone know what my problem is and how in the heck I can solve this problem?
