Im sorry if I came off like that. My card does work with the ati
driver, but what I am trying to do is get the dual head to work on my
card. I have looked all over the place and have yet to find any way to
get the second head on my card running to display DVD playback.
Truthfully I am sorry that I came across as if I didnt like XF86. I
really am happy with it. The only thing I would like is to get the full
functionality out of my card. The reason why I said the ati driver was
crap is that was what I was told by several people to date. I would
like to talk to the maintainer of the ati driver so maybe I could give
him some help getting it working on newer radeons maybe. My intentions
are purely to help improve something that I see as not up to what it
should be. Again I apologize for the terseness of my previous
response. Thank you for any help.
