It appears that the latest drivers from Matrox can do accelerated OpenGL on both screens of a dualhead card, when in Xinerama mode. ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archive/linux/2002/lnx200notes.txt : "This display driver supports the option of using your main and secondary displays as if they were a single display ("merged" displays) divided between your two monitors. If your system is configured for 3D acceleration, this feature allows for 3D acceleration on both your displays at the same time. To use this feature you also need the latest version of Matrox PowerDesk." I haven't tried, though.
