Hi, To answer your question(s): It's the notebook is a Dell Inspiron 8000 I have made virtually no configuration changes except setting the horiz. and vert. sync ranges. I'm also running it at 1600x1200 16bpp. Otherwise it's using a stock standard XF86Config generated by xf86config.
I'm not sure what you mean by switching VT's but if you mean swapping to another desktop and back no it doesn't fix itself. Other things that don't work include restarting the window manager, allowing it to go to blank the screen again, refreshing the screen. Also, I neglected to note it in my previous post but I'm using NetBSD 1.5.2 this may be relevant.
