Hello,
I recently bought an ATI Radeon 7500, and upgraded XFree to
4.2. After running "X -configure" (as opposed to
xf86config), I can finally get X to actually come up without
KO'ing my whole system, but I can only get 8-bit color
depth. I get an error message that says the RADEON driver
*only* supports 8 bits. Can this be true? Is there any way
around it?
Also, my mouse (MS Intellimouse) isn't behaving properly.
Any motion sends the mouse cursor to the upper left corner,
with erratic motion along the top border afterwards.
Any ideas are much appreciated,
