XFree86 4.2.0 has some problems with the RADEON Mobility in my ThinkPad A30P. Here are the issues:
1) Sometimes I get a blank screen when I exit X. Pressing <Fn>F7 brings back the console screen. <Fn>F7 is the way to switch between the internal LCD and an external monitor on the ThinkPad. 2) If I boot Windows XP after using X under Linux, Windows XP hangs while booting. Also, if I boot Linux and try to use X after using Windows XP, Linux hangs. It seems that each OS display drivers put the system in a state that the other OS doesn't like... I have no choice but to turn the laptop off and on before switching operating systems. 3) The "logout" window of gnome is accompanied by artifacts: two black polygons. I saw this on a desktop RADEON 8500 as well. Has anyone else encountered these problems? Any solutions? Thanks! _______________________________________________ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert
