Hi All,

I have a couple of questions that some of you may be able to help me with:

I have spent the better part of three days googling, looking through X
config files, README's, HOWTO's, and man pages in effort to answer them
myself so I haven't just hit the 'too hard ask someone else button'

When you start an X server it displays a whole heap of init / startup
messages onscreen - e.g. what modules it loaded, screen configurations
found, X server version etc.

I am building a small X server using Keith Packards KDrive server, and
would really like to be able to view the X startup messages but the
KDriveServer doesn't seem to display that information.

As close as I can figure, in the linux.cf there some defines that look like

#ifdef KDriveXServer
#include <kdrive.cf>
#else
#include <xfree86.cf>
#endif

which if I build a FB server without the KDrive directive I get the startup
messages, but when I define KDriveXServer I don't. I (incorrectly ?) assume
that there
is some directive in xfree86.cf that includes the startup info - but I
can't for the life of me work out where.

I am hoping to find the relevant #defs or includes and add them to my
host.def.

Am I looking in the wrong place completely ?

Any and all help appreciated,
Kind Regards,
Delaney.
