Hi,
first of all, congratulation to all XFree developpers. A few years ago the
question I'm about to ask would not be asked on a XFree mailling list and I
would propably be using an expensive Irix workstation. XFree 4.x are all
really mature X's.
Here is my question. I have 3 nVidia video cards :
- GeForce 2 GTS AGP
- GeForce 2 MX 200 PCI
- GeForce 4 MX 420 PCI
By browsing the mailling list archive( BTW a searchable archive would be
nice), I found that Xinerama will only support acceleration on head 0.
I also found that there is another obscure mode supporting a Xinerama like
unified desktop. By browsing the nVidia XFree README I found the folowing
options :
Option "TwinView" "boolean"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "string"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "range(s)"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "range(s)"
Option "MetaModes" "string"
Will TwinView work over multiple cards or do I need a "Dual Head" card ?
If twin view works over multiple cards, is there a way to enable it over three
cards, are there any undocumented "ThirdMonitorHorizSync" and the like option
?
