I am at my wit's end.
I have tried everything imaginable to set up TrueType fonts on
XFfee86-3.3.6 on FreeBSD.
The only way I got it to work was to deinstall and reinstall Xfstt. Then I
could use xset fp+ inet/127.0.0.1:7101 and KDE3 would see these fonts in
the configuration section.
But when I logout and startx, the fonts are no longer there. Redoing xset
produces errors:
xset: bad font path element (#37), possible causes are:
Direcotry does not exist or has wrong permissions
Direcotry missing font.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax
Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong?
