This might be a well known issue, but I failed to find it in the archives. I have compiled XFree86-4.2.0 from source with the security patches applied. I haven't made any changes to my XF86Config-4, it works with the X-packages from Debian woody. My problem is as follows: The keys 1-0 gives the following when used with my Alt_L: Alt_L + 1: � Alt_L + 2: � Alt_L + 3: � Alt_L + 4: � Alt_L + 5: � Alt_L + 6: � Alt_L + 7: � Alt_L + 8: � Alt_L + 9: � Alt_L +10: � when it should give (arg: 1) - (arg:9) and a single '0' when used with Alt_L. (This makes BitchX-sessions rather dull, as the (arg: 2) would potentially switch from current window to window number '2' if any) XkbModel is set to 'pc101' but similar problem with 'pc104' XkbLayout is set to 'no' but similar problem with 'us' Can this be a problem with the internal keycode translation?
