Hello folks.
I've been beating my head against the wall for the last couple days on this, and there's got to be an easier way to do this. I have a 32MB CompactFlash disk (which is, for all intents and purposes, a hard drive). I want to install a minimal XFree86 system on it, using the kdrive server, truetype fonts, type1 fonts, the built in fonts, and a few programs (like xterm). I'll use aewm (tiny) for the windowing manager. Now, on a full-blown Red Hat system, this works (of course, because I didn't set it up). I can compile the Xfbdev server with no problems, its the install of it, its libraries, and the fonts which is killing me. For example, xterm segfaults on launch and I can't move/resize any windows (like I can when using the full Red Hat system). What's the best way to install this system so that everything is there. Are there some options I can put in my .cf file so that I build/install solely servers, fonts and libraries? Thanks.
