What are the differences for a desktop user between using xfs or X's own 
Xft? Which one is better?

I already had search for an answer to this before when had to choose which 
system to use but didn't found anything, and stick to xfs since it seemed 
more on the line of "Ol' Unix Way"... Now the mention of the "burial of 
xfs" below, made me realize that I'm skipping something.. What?
