There is a long standing issue with DGA and xkb:
When handling the keyboard from inside DGA it tries to keep the core keyboard state in sync. This is sufficient if no xkb extension is active. If the xkb extension is active however its internal state can get out of sync with unpredictable results if the core state has changed between start and exit of DGA mode. I worked around this by simply not updating the core state while inside of DGA if the xkb extension is active. Is there any deeper reason why DGA keeps the core keyboard state up to date or is this rather cosmetic?
