At least "mga", "nv" and "fbdev" drivers support rotation with
'Option "Rotate" "<dir>"', where <dir> is either CW or CCW.
However, this isn't configurable at runtime -- i.e., what you can
do is enable rotation *before* starting X, and that can't be changed
during that X session.
If you wish to rotate the screen "on the fly", you need a
RandR-enabled server (RandR stands for Resize and Rotation). Currently
RandR is supported only in TinyX (aka KDrive). However, most, if not all,
WMs aren't RandR-aware, so they will exibit funny behaviour when the
screen dimensions change behind their back.
