Hello, I own an old Matrox Mystique 220 card and I could recently manage to get the specs. I have a doubt about bus mastering;as far as I understand, that feature should mean that the card is capable of fetching data from system memory without cpu aid. Is that correct? In particular I am interested in the ILOAD operation of the card for doing color space conversion;through bus mastering I would like to be able to tell the card to fetch data itself, while the specs say that I (the cpu ...) have to write them explicitly. Maybe bus master is only implemented for 3D? Thanks to anyone who can help me.
