I haven't read the ATi docs., but the impression I get from their publicity is that they have 10-bit DACs, but they are used for the TV/Video data; I haven't see any reference to a 30bit frame-buffer, which Matrox are making a fuss about. But then ATi have had 10-bit DACs for 3 years, and they are available on the Rage 128 family as well as the Radeon (so we need to support them on both the radeon and r128 drivers). -- Dr. Andrew C.
