It depends on how they are laid out in the "ServerLayout" section
in the XF86Config. Screens can overlap. XFree86 takes a bounding
box around the screens and sets that as the advertised root window size.

The Xinerama extention in XFree86 has some library functions that
may be used to query the sizes of the individual screens. See
Xinerama.h. Warning: these library functions are XFree86-specific.
A new official API is being developed but has not yet been officially
adopted by X.org.
