I remember to have read a while ago that this is this is due to the limited 
number of bits in the X event mask. Since I have done very little X 
programming my insight is limited, but as this is a sticky problem for me, 
I'd love to dig into the code if there was any chance to come up with a 
patch. Thus a question @ the Xperts: I assume there are some show stoppers 
that put an end to this idea, otherwise someone would already have done it?
