Dear Egbert, dear Alan,
some observations on the status of the latest trident driver:
- Alan's binary driver provided on his web-site is somewhat corrupt
concerning the xv support. It produces only pink garbade. I compiled the
latest version from cvs and xv worked. This might be caused by the
FPDelay option ?!?
- if the DISPLAY1400 option is set, xv support doesn't work at all. As
soon as I start X with a Vesa resolution xv works with my compiled
driver. In the 1400 resolution (with Display1400 option on) I get the
following error message when starting xine. Other players do not work as
well in 1400.
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 142 (XVideo)
Minor opcode of failed request: 19 ()
Serial number of failed request: 3932
Current serial number in output stream: 3933
This email is not meant as a complaint but is to inform you and help in
debugging the problem.
My system is a Toshiba Tecra 8200 with 1400 pixel display. I am running
