Thanks for your response.

I've already tried it. I'm starting it from init, and it works exactly the 
same, except that now I'm getting yellow colors :-).....

Also, I've cross compiled kdrive for an ARM processor, and I get the same 
problem.

Then I compiled the complete X for my x86 with framebuffer support, and it 
works ok (nice 256 colors...). But.... but... when I crossed compiled the 
complete X for ARM..... I didn't get the XFree86 server!!!!! I get all the 
other stuff, but XFree86 was missing!!!!!

This is getting me really crazy.... so if there's any hint over there before 
I get nuts, I would really appreciate it....
