Hi, I've noticed that with both 4.0.3 and 4.2.0 when I start XFree86 without a mouse (using -AllowMouseOpenFail) the X server starts fine _but_ the X server doesn't respond to keyboard presses. I have tried different mainboard and different keyboard/mouse combinations and they all have the same problem. The keyboard works fine on the console and I'm not using a window manager. If I plug a mouse in before I start the X server everything works fine!
