Definitely not a rewrite, but several very large changes have been made over the past few months to better handle flat panels and add support for newer chips. Please be patient -- I am working on the driver and will check in my latest changes when they are ready. Also, ATI has sent a medium- sized patch, which I will integrate after I fix the bugs that I know about (including the line bug). I'll post here when my changes have been checked in to ask for feedback.
