Can comeone explain what's the difference between CRT and LCD as seen from the X-Server regarding to the modelines and signal control?
I wonder why there are only a few LCD sizes and frequencies listed, maybe that's the reason why it does'nt always work as expected? It seems that LCDs are long not that flexible. Is it just a problem with the Radeon that the Gericom LCD is not correctly initialised at first boot and under other circumstances? Another thing - if one configures cinerama at a laptop it would be nice if the XServer would detect if the secondary monitor is not connected and automatically disable it - otherwise you won't see your applications.
