[Xpert]Help: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11

Hi all:  I have written a simple X program, when i compile it by typing: >cc client.c -lX11 i get the error=20 >/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11 I am using RedHat Linux 7.2 and am new to X Programming and this   my "Hello World" Program of X11 programming. Appreciate the help. Thanks, Preetham.
