Random idea:
Write application that does XQueryPointer really often, and then just draw an 
object that _looks_ like a cursor on the second screen. If the two screens 
are the same, then turn off the cursor, and just draw the object.

Gross, but two identical screens should be done using hardware (ie a splitter 
cable + buffer amplifier), not Xinerama, in any case.
