I first heard of RandR playing around with Xvesa (that's kdrive's vesa server), and for some stupid reason I thought all of 4.2 had it. Now, asking around, it turns out that nope, and probably not before whatever comes after 4.3. However, I also understand that the rotate part is the hard one, and all I'm interested is being able to change the size of the screen, so I can run xdm at a size my wife can read the letters but still log in to an emacs I can program with :)
I digress. What is necessary for the resizing part of RandR? if the answer is "all of it", is it feasible for a whole X session to run inside a DGA window? -- John Lenton ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) -- Random fortune: A bird in the hand is worth what it will bring. _______________________________________________ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert
