Dear developers and XFree professionals,
I am an owner of the Aiptek HyperPen 8000 graphics tablet. As stated in
prior versions of XFree,
my model isn't supported, yet.
In contrast to that, I was able to use my tablet with XFree 4.2.0. Creating
a symlink from
hyperpen_drv.o to HyperPen_drv.o and loading the "HyperPen" module instead
of "hyperpen" solved
the ModuleData Object stuff sufficiently.
But after upgrading to XFree 4.2.1 my tablet isn't working any longer in the
expected way. There's
no problem in moving the stylus around and getting the corresponding results
on screen. But what's
not working are the buttons, e.g. pressing the stylus on the tablet. It
seems that the driver interprets
the pressed or not-pressed value exactly the wrong way. I'm selecting things
on the screen all the
time !
I'd be glad if this information helps you in a way and you are able to
correct this problem.
