After changing the roles of my machines a bit I seem to have come up
against a bugette after I swapped arround some cards.

Linux 2.4.19
XFree86 version: 4.2.99.1
gcc 3.0.3

 Bus 0, device 11, function 0:
VGA compatible unclassified device: Creative Labs SB Live! EMU10k1
(rev 8).
      IRQ 5.
      Master Capable. Latency=64. Min Gnt=2.Max Lat=20.
      I/O at 0xa800 [0xa81f].

As you can see my SB Live thinks its a graphics card, hitting a quick
google seach for this problem I was someone offered a quick hack so
XFree86 didn't scan any legacy PCI devices.

Though I feel sure this is not a XFree86 problem but something to do with
linux or the motherboard or something. I was wondering is this fix the
best available? Does it work? (Currently my computer crashing hard when i
exit X) is a fix/workarround available for this problem already in the
latest CVS for XFree86... Do i need to patch something else to
fix/workarround it?

James
