Hi, I have an iBook with a r128 LF. The video output in mirroring mode is broken (recognizable but waves horizontally). I could manage to make it work in 256 colours by switching to using the second CRTC (and feeding it with the right values), but I failed to make it work in 15/16/24 bit modes.
I contacted ATI in order to get documentation, so that I could improve the situation and also prepare some patch that wouldn't break other cards which may not have a second CRTC (?). However I got no reply so far. Can anyone on this list help me, at least get in touch with them? I am willing to sign an NDA if need be. >From what I saw, it looks like the R128 LF is much like a radeon chip as far as dual-head is concerned: it looks like it should be easy to add Xinerama support to the r128 driver.
