I'm running into a couple of interesting problems. I have a PIV, Nvidia GeForce2 dual head pc running redhat 7.1. Initially I had Xfree86_4.0.3. The first problem I had was the Xserver would not start. Unfortunately, it would work sometimes which makes it very difficult to troubleshoot. I read somewhere that X86 4.1.0-25 would fix the problem so I went and upgrade to it. This caused my second problem: when I run a remote application and kick back the display it will not display some of the content of pop-up windows. I backed my X86 to 4.0.3 and I got the pop-ups to show all the info.
Long story short, any ideas what to look for in 4.1.0-25 (I tried 4.2.1 but it didn't work) that might be causing the pop-ups problem? And any ideas on why the Xserver will crash at login? thanks,
