Last week i bought a gigabyte radeon 9000 pro that worked fine using the
chipid of a radeon 8500. The radeon had some problems and was replaced by
another radeon 9000 pro, this time one made by powercolor. But this one
refuses to work with the exact same configuration of the gigabyte.
I have to diferent errors:
1- if i use the line BusID "PCI:1:0:1" i get this error:

[chico@athlon chico]$ x

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0"

2-If i don't use that line or use BusID "PCI:1:0:0" my monitor losts signal
(goes standby) and i have to reset the computer. I got no error in the log.

I tried the chipid of radeon VE, radeon7500 and radeon 8500, all with the same
results. The card works if i use the vesa or the fbdev driver.

I send in attach my XF86Config. I'm using mandrake 9.0 and xfree4.2.1.

I'm out of ideas, is this a card specific problem?

Thanks.
