Title: i845G (was RE: [Xpert](no subject))

Red Hat 7.2 is coming with X4.1 which is some 2 years old now.

The 845 G* chipsets are quite new (some 6 months i think).

Please imagine that you cant expect drivers coming with
a CD for a hardware that did not exist at all when the
CD was pressed.

There is a small approach for the new intel ones,
but AFAIK its only availabel via CVS (and maybe some snapshots).

Maybe you will need bleeding edge XFree86 for having native support.
If you can make that board run with the framebuffer or the VESA
driver for XFree86 then it might serve you for a while.

Shedules are that upcoming X4.3.0 will go live in early 2003,
but its not a fixed date for now, and much more its really
not sure if that i845G will be supported and stable then.

Maybe you want to ask your system vendor for Linux support
or call politely for Intel themselves?
