I've seen a few discussions here about kdrive and Iv'e been playing around
with the idea of trying to cross-compile a minimal Linux for the Palm device
for testing with POSE.

For the first step, I was going to build a minimal system for testing under
User Mode Linux to see just how small I can get a bootable Linux system using
uClibc and kdrive. If I can get it small enough I was going to see if I could
succeed in cross sompiling it into a ROM file for testing under POSE. Does
anyone have any experiences with trying to run kdrive under POSE? I don't
fully understand how the touchscreen would interact or the lack of any
keyboard but I figure hte best way to learn is by trying.

I know that there was some work in this area a while back, but it seems to
have died? I can find some Palm apps that are supposed to boot Linux, but
they crash on POSE because it includes some extra debugging features. I was
hoping to build a ROM file instead.

Thanks for any tips, pointers or other ideas provided.

Cheers,

        John Gay
