I'm running xfree86 4.2.0 from the Suse distribution. I have a similar
XF86Config, in which I have two mice sections, one USB and a PS/2. The
PS/2 is not normally connected.
I experience the keyboard failure when the kernel is booted with the
"apic" option, it is normally off by default in the suse kernel.
Is your kernel booted with apic on, and does your keyboard works when
you turn apic off?
