You could enter the full path:
/opt/xplor/xplor-nih-2.18/bin/xplor

However, it may be easier overall to use the -symlinks option in this
case. In the Xplor-NIH distribution directory, rerun ./configure like
this: 

 ./configure -symlinks /usr/local/bin

You may need to type 

  rehash

but then the xplor command should be found. If not, you really do need
to change your PATH variable. The details depend on which shell you're
using. You should read a basic intro to Unix to gain an understanding of
this.
