Usually less than 100 or 200 bytes. (Otherwise I would assume that
more time is being consumed.) Maybe a limiting factor is also that I
often copy from a web browser from which the text needs to be
"purified", re-encoded, normalised,... With some CPU load it really
takes a too long time.
