Those error messages are completely unrelated to the problem you were seeing. Also, I believe you should see those messages go away with 2.6.2_beta1 (coming in the next few days), so please check that and report back as there may be another case that I missed.
Are you able to move the windows around? Do you use quartz-wm as your KDEWM, or do you use kwm?
