In general what you need to do is get the latest git version or at least 0.5.0. Then, in gnome(or kde), use the keyboard tool to set your keymap. Then run xrdp-genkeymap to capture the keymap file. You should not be in an xrdp session when you generate the keymap. You should be at the console. You need to know what RDP keymap file you need to create when you capture the keymap file. Put this file in /etc/xrdp Connect to xrdp, login, and again, use the keyboard tool to set your keymap.
