if you use Xvnc you can connect to the same session if both clients use 
 the same screen settings (size, color depth etc.) if you do not use the 
 same settings a new session will be opened.

 i've mailed this list last week about the reconnect issue and got the 
 info that about 90% of this issue is fixed. but it looks like there is 
 nothing released yet. i am waiting for a new version to test. but i dont 
 know if session shadowing will work with X11rdp which is needed for the 
 reconnect to work with different screen settings.

 also this way you will only be able to shadow a session for the same 
 user.
