The newest 0.5.0 package doesn't contain a Makefile and the install.txt makes
no mention of what to do with the Makefile.am which is included. I've since
found out from elsewhere
(http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-general-1/what-is-the-meaning-of-makefile-makefile-am-makefile-in-390380/)
that Makefile.am is associated with automake, but it would be a BIG help if
the install.txt (and readme.txt) were updated with instructions that novices
can make work.
