I've succesfully built and tested X11rdp from git on Debian 6.0.4 x64
and CentOS 6.2 x64.

Both machines are VMWare ESXi 5.0 virtual machines and I ran into a
problem with VMWare Tools on CentOS. Gnome startup didn't completely
finish until I killed one of the two vmtoolsd processes started. I've
seen the same problem when using X2Go, so it isn't related to
xrdp/X11rdp.

The solution is to remove VMWare Tools, add the VMWare repo
(http://www.vmware.com/download/packages.html) and install the latest
version of the tools (from
http://packages.vmware.com/tools/esx/latest/rhel6/$basearch).

On Debian you can install the open-vm-tools package from contrib.

Cheers,
Daniel
