To be more precise, Wine version 1.3.29 (1.3.29-0ubuntu1~ppa1~natty1) worked
from ppa
but version 1.3.28 ( 1.3.28-0ubuntu2~oneiric1 ) from the Ubuntu repos didn't.
I've added ppa back.
"sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa"
install latest version of wine (1.4-0ubuntu1~ppa2~oneiric3) and text cursor is
working on older X11rdp from SVN.
I don't know if it just starting working at 1.3.29 or the ppa is compiling
theirs differently. FYI

Hi Jason,

I'll take a look, there must be a function in the Xserver that is not
implemented.
