Yes, I've read you articles.  I like them.

The main reason is so that it's a consistent version internally.  The
Xorg developers keep changing the interanls.

Yea, this is the direction I want to do in.  X11rdp can either build
monolithic like now or you can build as drivers(video / keyboard / and
mouse) and just use the Xorg on your system.

If you've ever tried to maintain an Xorg driver, you know it's
difficult to build across many different Xorg versions.  You end up at
the bunch of ifdefs all over the code.
