Hi:

We have Windows7, Ubuntu and Backtrack virtual machines (VMs) running in
a VMware vSphere environment. Remote access to the VMs is via VMware
View, which supports two remote access protocols: RDP and PCoIP. We
have chosen to use RDP; PCoIP has proven unsatisfactory.

Currently we are remotely accessing Ubuntu and Backtrack by first
accessing Win7 and then using VNC clients on the Win7 VMs to access
Ubuntu and Backtrack. This rather torturous path results in less than
satisfactory response time and some instabilities.

It would help if we could use VMware View to directly access our Ubuntu
and Backtrack VMs directly and not have to go through Win7. Do you know
if xrdp can do this?

        Thanks,

        Bill Lidinsky
